The complete BotW map of Hyrule

BotW Map is a free, interactive map of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It shows the whole kingdom the way it looks once every Sheikah Tower is active, and adds a marker for everything worth finding: all 136 shrines, 900 Korok seeds, 15 towers, the Great Fairy Fountains, every stable and village, treasure chests with their contents, quests, shops, armor, bosses, dragons and thousands of materials. The positions come straight from the game files, so each marker sits where the game places the object rather than where someone guessed it was.

Whether you call it the Zelda BotW map, the LoZ BotW map or simply the map of Hyrule, the idea is the same: one page you can keep open on a phone or a second screen while you play. There is no account to create. Tap a marker to read what it is, press Mark as found when you are done with it, and the map remembers your progress in your browser.

All 120 shrines on one map

The shrines are the backbone of any BotW map. The base game has 120 shrines and the Champions' Ballad DLC adds 16 more, for 136 in total. Each one gives you a Spirit Orb, and four orbs buy a Heart Container or a Stamina Vessel at any Goddess Statue. Every shrine on this map shows its name, its trial, the chests hidden inside and the shrine quest that reveals it, if there is one.

The shrines are not spread evenly. Hebra holds the most, with 13 base-game shrines, while Great Plateau has only 4. Turn on Hide found and the map shows only the shrines you still need in each region, which is the quickest way to finish all 120. The shrine locations page lists every shrine by region if you prefer a checklist to a map of shrines.

Sheikah Towers and the 15 BotW map regions

Hyrule is split into 15 regions, and each one has a Sheikah Tower. Climbing a tower and activating it fills in that region on your in-game map and gives you a fast travel point. The regions on the BotW map are Tabantha, Gerudo, Hebra, Wasteland, Ridgeland, Central, Great Plateau, Lake, Woodland, Dueling Peaks, Faron, Eldin, Lanayru, Hateno and Akkala. On this map the region of every marker is shown in its card, and the BotW map towers page shows where each tower stands, with tips for the hard climbs such as the Hebra Tower in deep snow and the Central Tower ringed by Guardians.

All Great Fairy Fountain locations

There are 4 Great Fairy Fountains, and each fairy you free adds one level of armor upgrades. Freeing them costs 100, 500, 1,000 and then 10,000 rupees, in the order you find them, so it pays to start with the cheap one. These are all Great Fairy locations on the BotW map:

Switch on the Great Fairies layer to see the fairy fountains on the BotW map, then check the armor page for the materials each upgrade needs.

Labeled stables, villages and the Korok Forest

Place names stay readable at every zoom level, so this works as a labeled BotW map as well as a marker map. All 15 stables are marked, which matters because stables are where you register horses, rest for 20 rupees and meet travelers with side quests: Rito Stable, Tabantha Bridge Stable, Gerudo Canyon Stable, Snowfield Stable, Serenne Stable, Outskirt Stable, Wetland Stable, Riverside Stable, Highland Stable, Woodland Stable, Dueling Peaks Stable, Lakeside Stable, Foothill Stable, South Akkala Stable and East Akkala Stable.

Villages such as Kakariko, Hateno, Rito Village, Goron City, Zora's Domain and Gerudo Town each have their own marker, and so does the Korok Forest. The forest sits in the middle of the Lost Woods, north of Hyrule Castle. It is where the Great Deku Tree guards the Master Sword, which Link can pull once he has 13 hearts, and where Hestu settles later in the story to trade Korok seeds for more inventory slots. The locations page lists every village, stable and landmark.

How big is the BotW map?

The BotW map size is one of the first things players notice. The game measures its world on a grid of 12 by 10 kilometers in its own units, and that grid holds the mainland, the Great Plateau, the Gerudo Desert and the seas around them. Crossing it on foot from the desert in the south-west to Akkala in the north-east takes a long time, which is why fast travel points and a good map matter so much.

A common BotW map comparison is with Tears of the Kingdom. The sequel reuses this same surface map of Hyrule and adds the sky islands above it and the Depths below it, so most of what you learn about the regions here still helps there.

A completed BotW map you fill in yourself

If you want to see a completed BotW map, switch every layer on. The map then shows each shrine, Korok seed, chest, boss, memory and quest at once, which is a lot, but it is also the clearest picture of how much there is to do. The more useful way is to turn on Hide found as you go, so the map slowly empties until the region is done. Your progress can be saved as a backup code and moved to another device.

Prefer paper? The printable BotW map comes as a PDF and a large JPG with every shrine and tower labeled, ready to print or keep on a tablet.
